The light stays in. The weather stays out.

Eco Star Glazing design, supply and fit energy efficient uPVC windows, composite doors, conservatories and roofline — measured to your opening, fitted by our own team.

Why it matters

A window is the thinnest part of your house. Get it wrong and you heat the street. Get it right and the room holds its warmth, the traffic goes quiet, and the whole place feels newer than it is.

01 — The frame

Six chambers, one thermal break.

The outer frame is extruded uPVC with sealed air chambers running its full length. Air is a poor conductor, so each chamber is another wall the cold has to cross. Galvanised steel reinforcement runs inside the section to stop it flexing.

02 — The sash

The leaf that has to move ten thousand times.

The opening sash carries the hardware load. Ours run on stainless friction stays with a multi-point espagnolette lock — one lever throwing bolts top, bottom and centre into the frame keeps.

03 — Beads & gaskets

Internally beaded, so it can't be levered out.

The glazing bead clips from the inside. From the street there's nothing to prise. Twin co-extruded gaskets compress against the glass on both faces, which is what actually stops draughts and rain — not the frame.

04 — The sealed unit

Two panes, argon between, low-E on face three.

The cavity is filled with argon — heavier and slower-moving than air. A microscopically thin low-emissivity coating on the inner pane lets short-wave sunlight in and reflects long-wave heat back into the room. A warm-edge spacer stops the perimeter cold-bridging.

05 — Assembled

Then it just has to open nicely for twenty years.

Back together, squared, packed and sealed to the reveal. We survey every opening ourselves, so what turns up on fitting day is made for your house rather than trimmed to fit it.

You don't look at a window. You look through it.

01 — Daylight

Slimmer sightlines, more glass.

The frame is the part you're not buying. A 70mm profile with a slim outer section gives you more glass in the same brick opening — so the room gets more daylight without anybody knocking a wall about.

More glass areaSame opening
02 — Warmth

1.2 W/m²K, and a wall you can sit against.

The number that matters isn't on the sticker, it's the temperature of the glass when you're sitting next to it. A single pane sits around 10°C on a cold day and pulls the heat off you. An argon-filled low-E unit sits near 18°C, so the cold edge of the room disappears.

03 — Quiet & dry

The traffic drops and the condensation stops.

Two compressed gaskets and an asymmetric glass build take the edge off road noise. And because the inner pane stays warm, the moisture in the room has nothing cold to condense onto — no more wiping cills in January.

The houses we work on · 004

Stone terraces, inter-war semis, 70s estates.

Each wants something different. A flush casement suits a stone frontage in a way a chunky sculptured profile never will — and a bay carrying roof above it needs a structural pole, not optimism.

Whole house done in a day and you'd never know anyone had been. The front room used to be freezing by the window — it isn't now.

Quoted properly, in writing, with the glass spec on it. Three other firms wouldn't do that. Turned up on the day they said.
Verified customer · Shipley
Had the conservatory roof swapped for a warm one. It's the difference between a room we avoided and a room we live in.
